E01 - How to generate the exporter with employee time records
The E01 file is an export file containing employee time and attendance records for a specific period, along with each employee's PIS number (Brazilian social security number). It is primarily intended for integration with payroll software, serving as a basis for processing time entries outside of the Pontotel platform.
How to access
- In the Management website's navigation menu, click on Reports and Imports.
- In the "exports" section, select the option: E01 - Time and attendance record for all employees.
How to configure the filters and generate the report
- Before generating the file, configure the filters as needed. All options are available in the center of the screen.
Filter by collaborator group
At the top, you can choose how to segment the collaborators included in the export. The available tabs are:
- Workplaces: filters by locations registered on the platform.
- Employers: filters by the CNPJ/employer linked to the employee.
Select the desired tab and choose the corresponding record(s) in the field below.
Period
Define the date range you want to export. In the Period field , you can choose from predefined options or select Custom to manually enter the start and end dates of the period.
Employee filter
In the Employee Filter field , specify whether you want to include all employees or apply a specific filter, such as only active employees or only terminated employees.
Send by email
If you prefer to receive the file directly by email, check the option "Send report results by email". The file will be sent to the email address linked to your user account on the platform.
- With the filters configured, click Generate file to start the export.
💡 Tip: The "Generate beta file" button generates an alternative version of the same report, with ongoing improvements. Use it if the support team advises you to do so.
- After processing, the file will be available for download or sent by email, depending on the option chosen.
About the generated file
The E01 file is exported in text format (.txt), with fixed-width records. Each line represents an employee's time clock entry, containing information such as the employee's PIS number and the time of the entry. This format is compatible with the main payroll software on the market.
