Understanding the E02 file (File for importing time entries)

The E02 - Time and Attendance Import File is a vital report for companies that need to integrate the Pontotel platform with other systems, such as their payroll .

Unlike visual reports such as R01 (Time Sheet), E02 generates a text file (.TXT or .CSV) formatted exactly in the layout that the other system needs to read and import the data.

What is the purpose of E02?

The main goal of E02 is to automate the future of your month-end closing. Instead of manually entering time entries (overtime, night shift differentials, lateness, absences, etc.) into your payroll system, you simply export the E02 file from Pontotel and import it into your other software.

This makes the management more agile, simple , and drastically reduces the chance of manual errors.

How is the E02 configured (parameterized)?

In order for the Pontotel platform to generate the file in the exact format that your payroll system expects, a process called Parameterization .

This parameterization (or layout configuration) is a specialized service performed exclusively by our Support team.

What do we need to configure the E02?

In order for our team to perform the configuration, it is essential that you provide the following documents:

1. The Layout of your Payroll System:

• This is the most important technical document and should be provided by your payroll software team (such as Domínio, Senior, Totvs, among others). Some layouts are already configured in Pontotel, so before starting the parameterization, check with the Analyst if the desired layout is already available.
• The layout describes exactly what your system expects in each row and column of the import file.

2. The "From/To" of the Budget Items (Headlines):

• A list or spreadsheet that correlates Pontotel's time entries with the codes (items) in your payroll system.

    • "Night Shift Allowance" at Pontotel = Code "102" in your system.
    • "Absences" at Pontotel = Code "201" in your system.
• Request the template spreadsheet from the Pontotel Analyst to fill it out according to the instructions provided.
