How to unregister a device (data collector) from the platform

If any device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) used to record time and attendance needs to be removed from the account, it's possible to unsubscribe quickly and securely through the Pontotel Gestão . This procedure is useful, for example, when a device is no longer used by the company, or when an employee who used their own device to clock in and out has left the company.

Below, check out the step-by-step instructions for deleting a collector from the system.

Step-by-step guide to unsubscribing from collectors

1. Access the collector menu.

  • In the top menu, click on management collectors option

  • The screen will be divided into two sections. Select the collectors section.

  • There will be three categories, each representing a type of collector. Select the category corresponding to the desired collector.
  • Device for web-based registration: Settings related to the BatePonto website. Devices in this category are usually computers or laptops.
  • Registration application: Refers to the BatePonto application , used exclusively for time and attendance registration on mobile devices (smartphones and tablets).
  • Management application: Settings for the Pontotel Management application , which combines time tracking with administrative functionalities for managers on mobile devices.

2. Reject or delete the collector.

  • After selecting the corresponding category, locate the collector you wish to disable from the system in the list.

  • Select the collector and, in the menu that opens, select the option to reject or delete the collector.

  • Reject : When the collector is rejected, the device will be blocked from registering new points. A message will be displayed in the app informing the user of the block and suggesting they check their internet connection, restart the app, or, if the problem persists, contact support for diagnostic analysis.

  • Delete : Clicking the trash can icon removes the time clock from the system. If the device still has unsynchronized time records, the app itself will display a message informing you that the registration of new time entries has been disabled, but previous records can still be synchronized for up to 48 hours. After this period, no new entries will be accepted by the app.

Observations

  • The removed device loses access to the time and attendance log.
  • If you need to use the same device in the future, you will need to register and activate it again.
  • No previous time records are lost. The data remains saved in the system.

By deregistering time clocks that are no longer in use, you ensure greater security and organization for time and attendance control in your company.
