How to cancel or delete an incorrect time entry.

Removing an incorrect time entry is an important step in maintaining accurate timesheets and avoiding future problems with time calculations. The Pontotel system allows you to easily identify and remove these entries.


⚠️ Warning:


There are two situations for deleting records in the Pontotel system. A record made by the employee themselves (clock-in, black ink) cannot be permanently deleted; in this case, it is only possible to cancel the entry, which will remain visible on the timesheet (crossed out) and will not be considered for calculating payroll.


Manual time entries (green, yellow, red, or blue) made by a user with permission can be permanently deleted from the timesheet.




Step-by-step instructions for deleting an incorrect tag.


  1. In the side menu, select sheet and then point sheets .



  1. Use the available filters to find the employee and the sheet that contains the mark that needs to be removed.
  • Select the corresponding period (month and year)
  • Select the "employees" option to open the payroll directly.
  • In the dropdown menu to the side, search for the collaborator and select them.
  • Finish by clicking "search".



  1. On the timesheet, identify the day that has the incorrect entry and needs to be removed.


  1. Cancel or delete the marking.
  • Select the point.
  • If you are using Windows or Linux , press the " DELETE " key. If you are using a Mac FN " + " DELETE keys .
    • To cancel out a real point, a reason must be chosen.
    • To delete a manual stitch, there is no need to choose a reason.



⚠️ Warning: The "BACKSPACE" key only clears the field for entering a new time and does not cancel or delete the time entry. To correctly remove an entry, always use the "DELETE" key.



This process must be done carefully to avoid removing valid points. Keeping the data clean and up-to-date ensures greater security and accuracy for the entire team, as well as correct time tracking calculations.
