How to check the location of Pontotel points
The location of the time clock entry is an essential feature to ensure the security, transparency, and authenticity of records on the Pontotel platform. Whenever an employee clocks in or out using the app, the system automatically identifies the location from which the entry was made—whether at the workplace, home office, or any other authorized location.
Understand how location data is collected and retrieved on the platform.
How is the location recorded?
📱 Mobile devices (app):
When the location is registered by the app, the system uses the device's geolocation capabilities (GPS, Wi-Fi, or mobile network) to capture the exact coordinates of the location.
This information is sent along with the time and attendance record and is available for review by managers and administrators.
It is important that all permissions requested by the application are accepted at the time of login.
💻 Computers (web):
When logging a location via a web browser, the location is primarily identified by the IP address, which also provides the country, city, and, in some cases, an approximate address.
For greater accuracy, it is recommended to allow location services in your browser when accessing the BatePonto website. See this article for instructions on how to do this.
Where can I find the location of the registered points?
📱 Through the Pontotel Gestão app:
- Access the employee's timesheet.
- Tap on the desired record.
- The location will appear in map format, marking the spot where the point was hit.

💻 Via the Pontotel Gestão website:
- Access the employee's timesheet.
- Tap on the desired entry and press the "i" key, or go to the three dots next to the workday and select the "view day details" option.

- Open the advanced point information and view the address or see the point on the map.

📃 According to Report R09:
- It is also possible to view the addresses of the recorded points using the R09 report in the Pontotel Gestão system. This report shows the location details of each record, making it easier to track and verify the locations where the points were clocked in.
- In this report you will also find the geographic coordinates of the point. Copy these coordinates and paste them into the Google Maps to verify on the map where the point was recorded.
- To generate R09:
- site 's top menu , go to management , and then select reports and logs .
- Select the options "show all points of the day" and "show point address".

Observation
- The accuracy of the location depends on the permissions granted on the device and the quality of the GPS signal or internet connection.
- If the location doesn't appear or seems inaccurate, ask the collaborator to check that GPS and app permissions are enabled correctly.
The location-based functionality brings more security to the company and peace of mind to employees and managers, validating each time clock entry wherever the workday takes place.
