How to process time entries on the timesheet
The processing of time records is a fundamental step to ensure that all information on the timesheet is up-to-date, considering any changes, manual adjustments, or new entries. This procedure recalculates the timesheet, applies changes to calculation rules, and integrates all events for the period, allowing for verifications, closings, and audits without inconsistencies.
Step-by-step guide to processing appointments.
1. Access the employee's timesheet.
- In the top menu of the Management website, click on "sheet," then select "timesheets."

- Fill in the search filters to locate the desired sheet.
First, choose whether you want to filter by locations, employees, or groups, and then select the options you want to view.
After clicking "search," use the field to the left of the filter to define the period, choosing the month and year you wish to search.

2. Perform the processing.
With the timesheet open, press Shift + P on your keyboard to start processing. During this process, the time fields will be temporarily blank, indicating that the system is recalculating the information (as illustrated in the image below). Once processing is complete, all balances and data will be displayed again on the screen.

This shortcut processes all visible work hours on the payslip and also recalculates entries, being especially useful when there are changes to the calculation rule that have not yet been automatically applied to the payslip.
Observations
- The processing can be performed as many times as necessary, especially after adjustments, inclusion of justifications, rule changes, work schedules, or manual entries.
- As long as the sheet is not locked, the data can be recalculated at any time.
- After processing, review the notes to ensure all information is correct before locking the sheet.
Whenever there are changes on the platform, the Pontotel system automatically processes and recalculates the time entries. However, this process can take a few minutes to complete, especially for timesheets with many employees or recent adjustments. Therefore, if you need to view the information immediately after a change, use manual processing to ensure that all data is up-to-date before closing the period. This way, you keep the timesheet always accurate and avoid inconsistencies in the calculation of working hours and time bank.
