How to register an employer
Neste artigo, vamos mostrar como cadastrar um novo empregador na plataforma Pontotel de forma rápida e eficiente. Esse processo é essencial para garantir que todos os dados dos empregadores estejam organizados desde o início, facilitando a gestão e o acompanhamento do seu time. Com as informações registradas corretamente, você terá uma base estruturada para aproveitar ao máximo as demais funcionalidades da plataforma.
Por padrão, a empresa principal informada durante a contratação já estará cadastrada na plataforma. No entanto, também é possível cadastrar novos empregadores.

How to register an employer
- No menu de navegação do site Gestão, clique em Cadastros e, em seguida, selecione Empregadores.
- Click on Create new employer.
- Fill in the required fields:
- Company Name: This field is required and must contain the company's legal name or the full name of the employer, if the employer is an individual.
- CNPJ or CPF: One of the two must be filled in, depending on whether the employer is a legal entity or an individual.
- Trade name: Optional field, which can be filled with the company name as it is known on a daily basis.
- Code: Use this field to enter a unique identifier for the employer, usually as it is also identified in the payroll system. This is especially important for clients with more than one CNPJ (Brazilian tax ID), as it helps to organize and differentiate records when transferring information to another system via E02, facilitating daily consultation and management.
- CEI/CNO/CAEPF: Optional field, intended for the employer's registration number with the INSS (Brazilian National Institute of Social Security) or the Federal Revenue Service.
- Employer logo: The company logo can be inserted in JPG or PNG format. If added, the logo will appear on the time sheets of employees linked to the employer. If not added, the time sheet will display the Pontotel logo.
- After filling in the fields, click Save.
✨ Novidade: Suporte ao CNPJ alfanumérico
A partir de julho de 2026, a Receita Federal passa a emitir CNPJs no formato alfanumérico, que combina letras e números. O cadastro de empregador da Pontotel já reconhece e valida o novo padrão.
O campo de CNPJ aceita valores com 12 caracteres alfanuméricos (letras de A a Z e números de 0 a 9), seguidos de 2 dígitos verificadores numéricos, no formato AA.AAA.AAA/AAAA-DV.
Veja como isso funciona na prática:
- CNPJs numéricos continuam valendo: todos os empregadores já cadastrados com CNPJ tradicional seguem funcionando normalmente. Você não precisa alterar nada, e não há impacto em relatórios, exportações ou integrações.
- Digite com ou sem máscara: o campo aceita o CNPJ com ou sem pontos, barra e traço.
- Letras minúsculas são ajustadas automaticamente: se você digitar o CNPJ em letras minúsculas, o sistema converte para maiúsculas antes de validar e salvar o cadastro.
- Mensagens de erro mais claras: se o valor digitado não seguir o padrão da Receita Federal, o sistema exibe "CNPJ possui formato inválido". Se o formato estiver certo, mas os dígitos verificadores não conferirem, a mensagem exibida é "Dígito verificador incorreto".
O novo formato é aceito em toda a plataforma: site Gestão, Bateponto Web, aplicativos e API Pública.
