How does the employee clock in and sign their timesheet for closing?
Pontotel offers a two-way locking, allowing employees to initiate the locking process for their own timesheets. In this process, they also provide an electronic signature, formally accepting the recorded information.
This approach ensures that the employee reviews and validates the data before finalization, promoting greater autonomy, security, and transparency in information management. See below how to carry out this process.
Step by step:
- In the main menu, click on sheet and select timesheets.

- Filter by employees.

- In the "select employees" field, search for and select your own name, then click search.

- On the timesheet, in the upper left corner of the screen, make sure you are on the payslip correct

- Check all time sheets, work hours, and time entries to ensure there are no inconsistencies.
- If you identify any errors, make the necessary corrections before proceeding (or request the correction from your Manager or HR).
- After reviewing and adjusting all points, locate the toolbar on the right side of the sheet. Click on "electronic signature of the sheet" (padlock icon).

- Click on "Lock and sign timesheet".

- A half-closed padlock icon will appear on the left side of the sheet, indicating that the locking process has begun.

- To fully lock the payroll, the manager or HR must complete the second step, confirming the locking.
- Be sure to carefully review all notes before starting the locking process. Once started, changes to the sheet will require authorization from the manager or HR.
- The employee-initiated locking process is a valuable tool for ensuring transparency and accuracy in record keeping. To proceed with the bilateral locking process, follow the instructions in this article.
