How to delete or deactivate a scale
Keeping your schedule list organized is essential to avoid errors when registering new employees. If you have old schedules that are no longer used, the Pontotel platform offers two options: Deactivate or Delete .
- Deactivate: The schedule will no longer appear in the selection list for new registrations, but it will be maintained in the system to preserve the history of those who have already used it.
- Delete: Permanently deletes the schedule. This is only possible if the schedule is not linked to any employee .
How to Deactivate a Schedule (New Feature)
This is the safest way to "archive" a schedule that is no longer used in your daily operations.
- In the main menu, go to Registrations and click on Schedules .

- In the list of active scales, click on the scale you wish to deactivate (it will be selected).

- In the bottom right corner of the screen, click the Disable (usually represented by a lightbulb icon with a line through it).

How to Reactivate
If you need to use this scale again in the future:
- On the Schedules screen, change the Display to "Inactive" .

- Select the desired scale.
- Click the Reactivate (yellow button with a lightbulb icon).

How to Delete a Schedule
Use this option only if you created a schedule by mistake and it hasn't been used by any collaborator yet.
- Go to Registrations > Schedules .
- Select the scale you want to delete.
- Click the trash can (Delete) icon in the bottom right corner.

- The system will display a deletion confirmation. Click "Confirm" .

- Prior use of the schedule : a schedule can only be deleted or deactivated if no employee has used that schedule in time records. If it is already in use, the process will be prevented. This is a security measure to ensure the integrity of historical data . If a schedule were deleted or deactivated, the past records of the employees linked to it would be lost, which could generate inconsistencies in the timesheet.

- Employee linking : If a schedule has been assigned to an employee, it will be necessary to link that employee to another schedule , retroactively from the date the schedule you wish to delete was created. This clears the usage history and allows for deletion.
- User permissions : Ensure you have manager or profile permissions that allow you to delete schedules in the system. Users with limited permissions may not see the delete option.
Deleting or deactivating a schedule that is not being used helps keep the Pontotel system organized and avoids confusion in time and attendance records.
