O reconhecimento facial é uma funcionalidade de segurança da Pontotel que valida a identidade do colaborador durante o registro de ponto por meio da comparação entre a foto capturada no momento da marcação e as biometrias armazenadas no sistema.
Esse processo aumenta a confiabilidade dos registros, reduz riscos de fraudes e garante mais segurança para a gestão da jornada.

How to enable facial recognition

To use facial recognition, you need to configure a collector profile with facial validation options enabled.

1. *In the navigation menu of the Management website, open the Admin and click on the Collectors.

2. Select the Collector Profile.

3. Choose the desired category :

• Device for web-based registration: used on the BatePonto website.
• Registration application: used in the BatePonto application.
• Management Application: used in the Pontotel Management application.

4. Create or edit a collector profile.

• To edit an existing profile, select it from the list and, in the menu that opens, click the pencil icon to edit.
• To create a new profile, click the " create new collector profile"

5. In the collector profile settings, follow the steps below:

• Access the photo options tab .
• Enable facial detection.
• Enable the facial recognition.
• Define the minimum accuracy percentage to validate recognition (Pontotel's recommended standard is 99.2%).
• (Optional) Enable the Liveness Detection. This setting ensures that registration is done only with real faces, preventing attempts at fraud with photos or videos.
• (Optional) Enable the Start time tracking using facial recognition. With this, the system attempts to automatically identify the employee before they enter their PIN.
• • If the face is recognized: the employee's data will appear for confirmation.
  • If there is no recognition: the employee should enter the PIN normally.
  • If the option is disabled: the employee will enter the PIN first, and only then will the validation be done with the camera.

6. Click on Save or Create profile.

How to apply the profile to the collectors

After creating the profile, it is necessary to link it to the time clocks that will record the time and attendance.

1. Go to Admin > Collectors.

2. Select the desired category.

3. Locate the collector.

4. Click on edit.

5. In the Collector Profile field , select the profile created with facial recognition enabled.

6. Save the changes.

How to enable the camera for employees

In addition to configuring the data collectors, the employee also needs to be authorized to use the camera during the recording process.

1. Go to Registrations > Employees.

2. Select the desired collaborator.

3. Click on edit.

4. Access the Time and Attendance and Benefits Settings.

5. Enable the options related to camera usage and facial recognition.

Facial biometrics management

A Gestão de Biometria Facial é o local onde ficam armazenadas todas as fotos utilizadas pelo reconhecimento facial.
É nessa área que você pode:

• View registered biometrics.
• Approve or disapprove photos.
• Consult existing records.
• Update employee biometrics.
• Ensure that facial recognition systems have high-quality images for comparison.

How to access

There are two ways to access biometric management.

Option 1:

1. Go to Registrations > Employees.
2. Select the collaborator.
3. Click on edit.
4. Access Time and Attendance and Benefits Settings.
5. Open the Facial Biometrics.

Option 2:

1. Go to Registrations > Facial Biometrics.
2. Use the filters to locate specific collaborators.

What are the approved photos?

As fotos aprovadas são as imagens utilizadas como referência pelo reconhecimento facial.
Quando um colaborador realiza um registro de ponto, a foto capturada é comparada com essas imagens para confirmar sua identidade.
Cada colaborador pode possuir até cinco biometrias ativas.
Quanto melhor a qualidade dessas imagens, maior será a precisão do reconhecimento facial.
Por isso, recomendamos manter sempre as cinco biometrias atualizadas, contemplando possíveis mudanças de aparência, como:

• Using or removing a beard.
• Use of eyeglasses.
• Haircut changes.
• Different lighting conditions.

Best practices for facial recognition photos

Image quality directly influences the performance of the technology.

Fotos recomendadas:
✅ Rosto centralizado e voltado para a câmera.
✅ Boa iluminação.
✅ Fundo neutro.
✅ Apenas uma pessoa na imagem.
✅ Rosto totalmente visível.
✅ Foto nítida e sem movimentação.

Fotos que devem ser evitadas:
❌ Fotos escuras ou com excesso de luz.
❌ Imagens desfocadas.
❌ Rosto cortado.
❌ Fotos com múltiplas pessoas.
❌ Uso de filtros.
❌ Óculos escuros, máscaras ou bonés.
❌ Enquadramentos laterais ou inclinados.

Além das biometrias geradas a partir dos registros de ponto, a Pontotel também disponibiliza o Cadastro de Biometria Fácil.
Essa funcionalidade permite realizar um cadastro da biometria do colaborador diretamente pelo celular, garantindo imagens de alta qualidade para o reconhecimento facial.

When to use

The Easy Biometric Registration is primarily recommended for:

• New employees.
• Correction of low-quality biometric data.
• Cases of recurring failures in facial recognition.
• Updating old photos.

How it works

O processo é realizado em um fluxo guiado e validado em tempo real.
Primeiro, é informado o PIN do colaborador.
Em seguida, os dados do funcionário são exibidos para conferência, reduzindo o risco de associar a biometria à pessoa errada.
Após a confirmação, o sistema abre a câmera do dispositivo e passa a orientar a captura da foto.
Durante esse processo, mensagens podem ser exibidas automaticamente, como:

• Come closer.
• Step back a little.
• Look at the camera.
• Keep your head straight.
• It needs more light.
• Avoid direct light.
• Stand still.

The catch is only released when all minimum quality criteria are met.

Automatic quality validation

Before approving a biometric data entry, the system automatically analyzes:

• There is only one person in the image.
• Appropriate framing.
• Correct distance from the camera.
• Good lighting.
• Photo sharpness.
• Correct facial positioning.

The biometric data is only registered after these criteria are approved.

Biometric replacement

Quando o colaborador já possui cinco biometrias ativas, o sistema permite substituir automaticamente a biometria mais antiga.
O histórico das imagens anteriores é mantido para auditoria e rastreabilidade.

How to access

O Cadastro de Biometria Fácil está disponível exclusivamente para dispositivos móveis.
Atualmente, ele não possui acesso pelo menu do site Gestão, nem pelos aplicativos.
