How to issue a leave of absence for multiple employees
Issuing leave for multiple employees simultaneously at Pontotel is an efficient way to manage collective absences, such as group sick leave, scheduled time off, or exceptional situations.
See below how to perform this launch.
Step by step
- In the navigation menu of the Management website, open the Payroll and select the Bulk Changes.
- Enter the start and end dates of the leave, either by typing or selecting from the calendar.

- Select the employees who will receive the leave. Use the selection options to quickly choose one or more employees. You can also filter by location, employees, employers, or groups.

- Below the filters, select the justification, and then click on add exemption.

- Fill in the fields:

- In the reason field, select the justification that corresponds to the absence. If there is no reason that meets the need, create a new default reason before continuing.
- Configure additional options (if necessary):
- Consider as hours worked: If checked, the leave period will be counted as hours worked on the timesheet, without impacting the hours balance or time bank.
- Deduct time off from the day's work hours: By selecting this option, the time off will be deducted from the employee's expected work hours for the day.
- Consider as an absence: If selected, the period will be treated as an absence, impacting the hours balance and potentially resulting in deductions from pay.
- Ignore days off: Use this option if you want the absence not to be recorded on days configured as days off in the employee's timesheet.
- Save the record.
After filling in all the fields, click " add" to register the exemption in the system.
Correctly recording collective dismissals ensures accurate records and avoids inconsistencies in payroll. If you need to record dismissals individually, please refer to the related articles below.
